• Many local students can’t afford to purchase or rent an instrument to play in their school band or orchestra programs.
• Most schools lack the budget to rent all the instruments they need.
• The result: students who never learned the joy of playing an instrument in a group.

To help fill this gap, the Mid-Columbia Symphony started the Community Instrument Drive.

Community members donated more than 70 music instruments over two years, from piccolos to pianos. With the support of community partners, The Symphony had the instruments repaired and delivered to seven area schools.
