The Symphony proudly invites young musicians from the Mid-Columbia area to perform in the lobby before Symphony concerts and during intermission. Groups have included string quartets, bell choirs, vocal groups, jazz bands, and the casts of local youth theatre groups.

• These “Lobby Kids” gain performance experience by playing for hundreds of discerning music-lovers at each concert.

• Symphony patrons get added entertainment value and a festive atmosphere that begins when they enter the doors of the performance venue.

• And proud parents get to brag, “That’s my kid.”
